Group Liability Insurance
The company should protect its legal liabilities in four areas:
- To third parties for injury and damage to property - General Liability.
- To clients as a result of poor, inadequate or negligent professional advice - Errors and Omissions
- To its employees for injury in the workplace - Employers Liability
- To its directors - Directors and Officers Liability
Standard policy wordings need to be amended to include or ‘write back' war and terrorism cover in hostile environments.
Essentially for consultancy companies general liability cover, including bodily injury to third parties, should be endorsed to the errors and omissions insurance, and in hostile zones the war and terrorism exclusion modified to provide the required protection.
