Crisis management and evacuations

Through our strategic partnership with Air Partner, the world's largest air charter provider, AKE offers the AKE-Air Partner Crisis Service: the only comprehensive, cost-effective programme to preserve the safety and security of employees deployed within high-risk areas.

The Crisis Service achieves not only a thorough review of existing in-country evacuation and repatriation procedures (or their establishment where none exist), but also delivers 24-7 / 365 reassurance that should a crisis occur AKE and Air Partner will respond and manage the incident.

A joint survey team carries out an audit of all relevant locations, concluding with a full, rigorous and easily reviewable report detailing an organisation's operations, key locations and personnel, as well as outlining a number of contingencies for their swift, efficient and safe evacuation in a crisis situation.

Should clients require, AKE and Air Partner can be retained to monitor and respond to crises, managing the risk through air, ground and maritime extraction routes.

The Crisis Service process is founded on the core principle that intelligence must lead any assessment of risk, as well as the response to such risk:

1. Planning: assessment and revision of procedures for the safe and efficient evacuation of staff in an emergency situation, and the most effective continuation of their activities post-event.
2. Monitoring: of the threat environment and impending crisis events through AKE’s Global Intake, according to key criteria set down by the client in consultation with the AKE-Air Partner crisis response team.
3. Response: in the event of key crisis thresholds being triggered, as well as support on the ground enabling flexibility and adaptation to swiftly changing circumstances.

As well as delivering a critical analysis of contingency measures in a crisis situation, duty of care compliance and risk management best practice, the service alone delivers valuable reassurance to those working abroad in areas that might experience an unacceptable increase in risk levels.

24-7 line

AKE's 24/7 line is an emergency response service for personnel in location who want the security of knowing they can call us at any time of the day or night if a problem or emergency arises. From emergency medical advice or security information, right through to evacuation plans, we're ready with immediate help.

Tracking

In challenging or hostile environments where communications are difficult, you need to know that personnel in the field are safe, and you'll be concerned if they don't check in with you. Those working overseas in unpredictable or hazardous conditions will value enormously the security of knowing that you're monitoring their safety and location and so will their families.

AKE's GPS Tracking System will achieve that goal. Operating through satellite or mobile phones in combination with GPS and secure internet technologies, the GPS Tracking System is simple to use. At designated times the field user sends a short message which can be privately accessed through a secure area of AKE's Global Intake. This pinpoints the sender's location and co-ordinates on a map. So if they don't check in when expected, you'll know immediately and can take action.
