It is becoming increasingly apparent that terrorists are employing more elaborate ways of killing, injuring or frightening their victims. Since 9/11 there has been a dramatic increase in the intent and the potential use of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) devices as weapons. There are also stockpiles of these devices in most countries, with the consequent possibility of their use as weapons of mass destruction (WMD). With individuals and media corporations travelling to and covering stories in remote and hostile environments, the risk of CBRN attack is now a threat.

Security, Medical & Off-Road Driving Course
Security, Medical and Off-Road Driving in Remote Regions is a five-day course designed specifically for NGOs and other professionals whose work necessitates driving on- and off-road in challenging or hostile environments.
The skills and knowledge taught are in five categories:
Personal and Vehicle Security Awareness
Security Planning & Preparation
Vehicle Familiarisation
Four-wheel Driving Techniques
Medical Skills
The course combines lectures with video footage and demonstration materials, and includes two days of four-wheel driving, navigation and medical practice. The programme is comprehensive and interactive, and includes a series of challenging and realistic training exercises where you test what you've learned.
Security, Medical and Off-Road Driving is complemented by the Four-Wheel Driving Manual and Off-Road Aide-Mémoire, comprehensive Medical Notes, Cultural and Medical Considerations for Women and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Notes.
The course is taught at our specialist driver training centre, or if appropriate, at the location of your choice. |
